Fast and Easy Super Hero Capes!

I stumbled on this blog quite some time ago. It's called TIP JUNKIE. She has some scrapping tips, some household tips, recipes, and whatnot. Well today, I found SuperHero Capes made from old t-shirts!! Here's a totally unknown to me kid modeling one :) She gives great instructions, and I may just try my hand at it! :D

So cute! One suggestion though: cut the front of the neck and quickly sew or glue velcro on. With all the fabric flowing, it could easily get caught on something and choke the kiddo (at least the little ones). My Mom actually made the kids a cape. Went to the store and bought some cheap, gaudy, shiny material at $1 per yard (really you only need 1/4 yard), and added velcro at the neck. Very cute idea -- thanks for sharing!

Hee Hee! I know this kid - it's my son! I'm glad you liked the idea - I totally love the tip to snip it in the front and put velcro on. My kids always want to go to bed with theirs and I'm too paranoid! Now they can drift off to sleep dreaming of their superhero adventures...
