Hmmm... I don't really run anywhere at anytime. I did however walk quickly yesterday to get JA from school.

One pair has holes in the inseams

Sophia getting into the fridge because I am currently downstairs.

No

Yes, and no... my mom always said she has 2 only children (my brother is 8.5 years older than I).

Breyer's All Natuaral Chocolate Rainbow (if I can find it), and Presidents Choice Chocolate FUdge Crackle in mint ice-cream.

for me? Um.... I don't know, a trip to the clinic maybe for a sore throat?

Not usually, I often wake at least once in the night.

I don't listen to the radio that often, and when in the van, if I"m not driving, we listen to Mike's music, so my songs aren't overplayed for me :)

Have I ever told you how much I hate that Mike is back on shiftwork? Now, thankfully, he is only on TWO shifts (7-3, and 3-11) and not midnights... but I hate it. Yes, I really do. There isn't much I can say that I hate in life, but this is in the top three!! There's no routine, and the kids need routine... ok, I confess, I need routine! It makes me crazy. The kids make me crazy... they miss Mike, I miss Mike. Mealtimes are difficult sometimes, and getting them all out the door for Awana is no picnic in the park!! *sigh*

So.... are you hiring? There's this guy I know - hard worker, good ethics, Christian, will do anything from 6am-4pm... He's got skills (he has his tool and cutter grinder ticket, and his general machinist diploma), and he can learn anything he puts his mind to. Full time would be an asset. So. Let me know, eh? :)

The big ice-fishing trip!

Ok, here's a slideshow of all the photos Mike took ice-fishing. It was Zachary's first time!! :) The kids had a blast... and area already talking of next year. Sophia can't go till she's 4 - that's the unwritten rule about it all. So one more season of just her and I home for the weekend... Enjoy!!

Smackin' Acetate

As I've been informed, not to be confused with "Smokin' Acetate" LOL! I have started a marker club, and our first get together was last night. Here are the two projects we did. The first is using the Polka Dots and Paisley set that is featured in the Spring Mini Catalogue. Anyway, here is the card featuring that set



The second card we did, features the Wild Rose stamp set, one of my personal favourites!



It was a great time!! :) If a marker club or a 'stamp' club are of interest to you, feel free to ask! The rewards are amazing!!

At my 5$ card night, we did a cool card featuring punches (oval, and 3/4 inch circle)



Our other card for the evening was a masculine birthday card featuring French Script, Linen, and Artifacts (my fav for the guys!).



And lastly... I rec'd this beautiful sample with Polka Dots and Paisley stamps in the mail from Karen Duke this week!! She's given me permission to post it here for you all to see :) Thanks Karen :)



I will be uploading more card samples, and some photos from the kids ice-fishing trip! I'm sooo glad to have them home. Now if we could all be healthy it would be wonderful!! Zachary had the barfs on the weekend, and now Mike, Sophia and I are stricken with this awful head/sinus cold nonsense.

It was a beautiful day outside today, so I took the kids out to ride their bikes. I wish I could have enjoyed it more by feeling better!! :) Still, it was nice to wear our spring coats and rubber boots!! SPRING IS COMING!!!

...and they're off!

I bet nobody is up reading this .... but who would be at 3:42am? Not me normally. But today Mike and the bigger kids are going north to go ice-fishing. They left about 15 minutes ago. I'm such a sucky baby... I hate it when they go away. I have to admit that I did SO much better this time than in years past. I used to be sad for days before departure. This year, I cried a bit last night at bedtime for the kids, and kept it in check till just JA and Mike were walking out the door.

JA is taking a journal from school that she will write in daily, so she can report back to her class on Monday! She is thrilled to be doing that special activity assigned by her teacher (I hope they let US keep it when she returns!).

Zachary was just sad to leave the cat. LOL It's his first trip. They have to be four to go. He made it by just over a week!

So, I'm home alone with Sophia (and the cat). I do have plans to help fill my time while they are gone. I am wall papering the girls bedroom, I'm going to the church ladies meeting tonite (if my Dad will babysit!), tomorrow, more wallpapering I suspect. Tomorrow evening I'm going to the USA with my mom and her 2 friends, and Sophia. Saturday... finish papering LOL (do you sense a theme?!)... Mom and I are going out for lunch with a long time friend. I'm also hosting an online crop/challenge weekend at a yahoogroup (I say that loosely, it's just something to help me get some of my own scrapping done LOL!)... Sunday is church and then they come home!!! It's only Thursday... but Sunday is a comin'!!

Zachary was funny yesterday... we were talking about them going up north, and he thought they were going to the North Pole! Sorry bud, not this time! LOL! It has been a week of "are we going ice-fishing today!?" Zachary wanted to know if they were going to go float out on the ice and fish. What a hoot. Sorry Zach-a-doo... there had better not be floating ice! :)

I made the kids each a card, just a simple white card with their names stamped on the front. I included a bunch of Tootsie pops for them to share with their cousins. I baked a huge amount of chocolate chip cookies for them to take with them too. Mike has the DVD player, I figured out how to hang the darned thing so that everyone can see! The kid have several books, their favourite blankets, sleeping buddies, and pillows. New long underwear was purchased just for this event! :)

Well, as per Mike's request, I should head back to bed. Sophia will be up before I know it... and there's no resting when she's up! I"m sure I'll have more to report as the day goes by :)
